JR Sanyo Shinkansen 500 Type Shinkansen Kodama version of Z-Shorty series. 500 Type Shinkansen was developed for competing with air transportation which had been popularized at that time. It has unique and functional design: to make less railway noise, to get more higher-speed than former Shinkansen. Even, over 20 years have passed since it has been on service, but this Shinkansen type is popular even today.
